Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz announced the Punjab Student Laptop Program for the Punjab students enrolled in the universities and colleges. Only Punjab students will be eligible to apply for a laptop to assist their studies. Distribution Structure
In the Punjab Student Laptop Scheme, a total of 40,000 Laptops will be provided to students who are enrolled in universities and colleges. A registration portal will be announced on the official website where students can apply for a laptop. The laptops will be distributed in 2 phases, during the 1st phase a total of 5,000 laptops will be distributed within 30 days of registration while during the 2nd phase, the remaining 35,000 laptops will be distributed by the 20th of February 2025.

The distribution structure is based on the following points:
- A total of 20,000 laptops for the students enrolled in government and private universities.
- 14,000 laptops for the students enrolled in government and private colleges.
- 4,000 laptops to the students enrolled in agricultural and technical departments.
- 2,000 laptops to the students enrolled in the medical and dental sectors.
In addition, 2,000 laptops will also be provided to the minority students enrolled in universities and colleges. Out of 40,000 laptops, 30,000 laptops will be provided to students in the government sector, and 10,000 laptops will be provided to the students in private sector.
Eligibility Criteria For Punjab Student Laptop Program
The government of Punjab has set eligibility criteria for the registration in Punjab Student Laptop Program. The students meeting the eligibility criteria will be able to get the laptop through this scheme. The eligibility criteria for Punjab Laptop Scheme include;
- Applicant should have a CNIC issued by NADRA.
- Applicant should have a Punjab domicile.
- The applicant’s age should be between 18 and 22 years.
- Applicant should be enrolled in a HEC-recognized university or a college.
- Must be enrolled in programs like Computer Science, Medical, Science, Engineering, Social Sciences, Business, Language, Veterinary, and Agriculture.
