The government of Punjab has announced the Punjab Free Laptop Scheme for brilliant students who are studying in universities and colleges and cannot afford a laptop for their education. The students who are studying in universities and colleges of Punjab will be eligible to apply for a laptop through the Punjab Free Laptop Scheme. This program aims to assist students who are performing well in their studies and are unable to purchase a Laptop. Through the Punjab Free Laptop Scheme, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif will distribute a total of 40,000, Core i7, 13th generation laptops among the students of Punjab who are studying in the universities and colleges of Punjab.

Punjab Free Laptop Scheme: Distribution Structure
According to the Punjab Free Laptop Scheme, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz will distribute a total of 40,000 laptops among the students of Punjab studying in the universities and colleges of Punjab. The laptops will be provided in 2 phases: during the first phase, CM Maryam Nawaz will distribute 5,000 laptops within the first 30 days after the registration for the laptop Scheme while in the second phase, the remaining 35,000 laptops will be distributed among the students by the 20th of February 2025.
40,000 laptops will be distributed as of the following distribution structure;
- 20,000 laptops will be distributed among the students enrolled in governmental and private universities of Punjab.
- 14,000 laptops will be distributed to the students who are studying in governmental and private colleges.
- 4,000 laptops will be distributed to the students studying in the technical and agricultural sectors in the universities of Punjab.
- The remaining 2000 laptops will be distributed among the students enrolled in the Medical and Dental Colleges.
Out of the 40,000 laptops, 30,000 laptops will be distributed among the students belonging to the governmental sectors and the remaining 10,000 will be given to students studying in private colleges and universities.
In addition, 2,000 will also be provided to the students belonging to Minorities in Punjab.

Eligibility Criteria
The government of Punjab has set eligibility criteria to ensure that only deserving and brilliant students can get the laptop who are unable to purchase a laptop for their studies. You have to meet the following eligibility criteria to be eligible for Punjab Free Laptop Scheme;
- You should have a CNIC issued by the government of Pakistan.
- Your age should be between 18 to 22 years.
- You should have a Punjab Domicile.
- You are studying in a HEC-recognized university or a college.
- You should not involved in any criminal activity.
- You should be enrolled in programs like Computer Science, Medical, Science, Engineering, Social Sciences, Business, Language, Veterinary, and Agriculture.
